LifeNet Health provides uncompromised fusion solution with launch of PliaFX® Strip

Orlando, Fla. — Oct. 25, 2017 — LifeNet Health has introduced its latest allograft bone-healing solution, the PliaFX® Strip, offering optimized handling and effective performance in a convenient, preformed shape. It is the first in a new family of grafts composed of 100 percent cortical bone fibers, created using an exclusive, patented processing technology.

The technology behind PliaFX Strip yields fibers with microhooks that interlock to create a pliable graft that easily conforms to the implant site while staying firmly in place, even when irrigated. The fibers, which are demineralized with PAD® technology, also create a hospitable environment conducive to bone cell attachment and proliferation. As a result, PliaFX Strip is an effective option for procedures such as posterolateral and posterior cervical fusions.

“The goal in developing this technologically advanced solution was to provide surgeons a graft that has the precise handling characteristics they desire without relying on a carrier or additive of any kind,” said LifeNet Health Vice President of Global Marketing Daniel Osborne. “With the PliaFX Strip, we are providing an uncompromised solution that is easy to use in the OR and that effectively facilitates fusion.”

LifeNet Health will discuss the technology behind PliaFX Strip on Thursday, Oct. 26, during presentations in its booth (#1113) at the NASS Annual Meeting in Orlando, Fla.

PliaFX Strip will be available starting in Spring 2018.
