The process of recovering organs, eyes and tissues from a deceased person and transplanting them into others in order to save lives or improve the health of those in need.
What difference can one donor make?
One organ donor can save the lives of nine transplant recipients. One tissue donor can enhance the lives of more than 150 people. One cornea donor can bring sight to two people.

Clinical Services
LifeNet Health’s Clinical Services department is comprised of transplant coordinators and organ recovery staff. Transplant coordinators manage the organ-donation process from offering consultation to families regarding the option for donation through clinical management within the hospital ICU. Organ recovery staff assist the transplant surgeons with the organ-recovery process as well as monitor and maintain all recovered kidneys while on the kidney pump.
LifeNet Health established a Donor Family Services program in 1990 as a critical part of its mission. Our goal is to provide support services to grieving donor families to help them on their journey to healing.
LifeNet Health is in a privileged position to help grieving families. Families often find meaning in the midst of tragedy when a loved one's organs and tissues are used to save or enhance the lives of others. In addition, LifeNet Health serves a unique role in honoring the lives of loved ones long after friends, and even family, have forgotten.
