The goal of superior capsule reconstruction (SCR) with an acellular dermal allograft is to treat irreparable rotator cuff tears while minimizing donor-site morbidity. The technique is relatively new in the field and as such long-term data is recently coming to light. The article in review below summarizes the 2020 publication by Pashuck et. al. which reports clinical improvements in function and pain following SCR are maintained up to two years postoperative.
