More than 115,000 Americans are hoping for a life-saving organ transplant, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Millions of others around the world will need a tissue graft this year to help them heal from injury or recovery from disease. These patients need organ, tissue and eye donors to restore their health.
Since 2003, Donate Life America and partnering organizations like LifeNet Health have joined together to observe National Donate Life Month. This special month is celebrated every April and encourages people to register as organ, eye and tissue donors. It is also a time to honor those who have selflessly helped save lives through the gift of donation.

You can register as an organ, tissue and eye at RegisterMe.org. Just one organ donor can save up to nine lives, and a tissue donor can improve the health of 150 people.
