LifeNet Health is hosting a unique learning experience Oct. 3-4 for health-care staff involved inorgan, tissue and eye donation. The inspiring keynote speaker is Zion Harvey, the first child to undergo a double hand transplant. His lead surgeon, L. Scott Levin, MD, who leads the Hand Transplantation Program at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
The program also includes presentations on vascular composite allografts, tissue utilization and research, as well as workshops for nurse champions, bereavement photography, grief and loss, funeral homes, and ambassadors.
