Brandon Angelo Via

May 1, 1987 – December 10, 2009

This picture of my son depicts a wonderful young man who left this world to soon. In his departure through his organ donation he saved the lives of four individuals. Brandon is a very giving, responsible, loving person….though he left many broken hearts behind. A son, brother, grandson and friend, we miss him dearly.

In the picture Brandon is fishing with his stepfather, one of his favorite things to do. This would be the last photo taken of Brandon, October 2009. He had just come back from his 3rd deployment to Iraq. I had to call and tell him one of his best friends passed away. Brandon came home, a friend since elementary school, he took it hard. Then six weeks later Brandon had his accident on his 4 wheeler. Brandon, like his brother Nick, loved cars, trucks, and was always on the go.

Brandon was born in Baltimore County, Maryland, grew up in Red Lion, PA. He was a helicopter mechanic for the U.S. Navy and stationed in Norfolk, VA where he resided with the love of his life, Ashlee Heiland.

I have put this project off as it seems to make things final, a feeling that hurts. I could go on and on about Brandon. A respectful, helpful, funny, loving, handsome individual…most importantly my son.

I miss hearing your laugh, seeing your smile, feeling your hug. I know I’ll see you when… He calls my name, another place, another time, I love you Brandon, until I see you again.
