Kim Quattlebaum

The quilt square is a picture of my daughter Kim. She was killed in a car accident October 24, 1993. She was 25. Kim was a poster model for Budweiser. She did two posters, and was due for a third, but she moved and wasn’t available. This was just a part-time job for her, but it was very exciting for us all. She was chosen out of 200 others that competed. I used the picture of her first poster for the square and because she loved and collected carousel horses, I added that picture to her square. I didn’t know how to make the square, so I turned to my best friend Jeanne. Thanks to her talents, it was finally complete. Jeanne is the one that added the words “Always in our thoughts, forever in our hearts.”
