Kirsten Lynn Adler

February 21, 1994 – October 24, 2010

When remembering Kirsten the first things that invariably come to mind is her omnipresent smile, her infectious laughter and witty sense of humor. In some ways Kirsten was a walking contradiction but in the very positive sense of the word. Kirsten was a world traveler who spent extensive time in Japan and Europe and had a real thirst to go abroad to see more, but at the same time was perfectly content to curl up with a book or watching movies at home. Although she was somewhat obsessed with clothing and fashion, Kirsten insisted on doing most of her shopping at thrift stores or at the very least from the sales rack. Kirsten loved trying new foods but craved her grandmother’s cooking and baking even more. Her friends and socializing meant the world to her, but Kirsten also always made certain to reserve some time to spend with her baby brother and for her parents and grandparents every week. As a teenager, Kirsten was sometimes guilty of feeling the world revolved around her but in the very next instance she often displayed incredible understanding, tolerance and empathy for others who were either different or less fortunate than her. Finally, although Kirsten died young, she was without a doubt wise beyond her years. But most importantly, Kirsten will forever be remembered as a sincere and loyal friend, a devoted and truly loving daughter and granddaughter and as a very special big sister! It should go without saying, Kirsten is missed immeasurably by all that knew her!
