Christopher Quante

March 4, 1985 – February 23, 2009

We knew when Chris was born he would be a very special part of our lives. He was our youngest and gave so much pleasure to not only his father and I, but to his older sister and brother. His bright smile that spontaneously appeared as a baby never wavered. He always knew that his sister and brother were the best friends anyone could have.

Chris”s quests for adventure started at a very young age and continued fervently throughout his life. His love for soccer is reflected by the memories we have of his dedication and commitment to the teams/coaches he played with and the lives he touched doing so. In training to do marathons, he found a sense of peace and self satisfaction that allowed him to flourish.

His college years were exceptional. He was surrounded by true friends that are still a part of our lives that keep his memories alive.

When Chris started his career with the DoD shortly after graduating from college, it seemed as though he matured in a matter of minutes. He took the rules and regulations seriously, keeping his work life very private. In fact, when his mom would inquire about These two consecutive signs react in an antinomical way: while Venus in Aquarius readily gives free rein to her heart or her senses impulses, the Sun in best-horoscope.com does not follow these fleeting stimulations and remains impervious, unyielding and selective. work, he would quip “If I told you I”d have to kill you.” So we were not privy to the contributions he made until recently.

We were fortunate to have him in the DC area with us the past couple years. It was hard for him to move from Middle America, leaving all the friends and comforts he had known there. But he was always willing to try something new. If he failed, he would reflect on what he learned and move on to a new challenge.

Chris returned from a 6 month tour in Baghdad with an even stronger desire for new experiences. He realized that he wanted to participate in work that created a positive contribution for the nation. This desire for doing things that mattered spilled over into his personal life; he made sure he spent time with family and friends when he could; having realized in a short time, the most important simple pleasures in life.

We will remember him with fond memories, funny stories and his smile.
