Outreach and Education to Support Donation in Our Community
Our Community Education team engages thousands of people every year to promote awareness of all the good that comes from organ and tissue donation. Our goal is to boost registration and support. We also strive to promote health equity, especially when it comes to expanding access across ethnicities, to help close long-standing disparities.
As part of the LifeNet Health Organ Procurement Organization team, we attend community events across our service area. We also support groups, organizations, and workplaces – from connecting you with a guest speaker, to providing educational programs, to helping you organize donor drives. Please reach out to us to learn more about how we can help you.
Outreach Programs
Speaker's Bureau – Many groups find it moving and inspirational to hear from the families of organ and tissue donors, or from recipients who have benefitted from these amazing gifts. We can help connect your organization with the right speaker.
Education – The LifeNet Health Community Education team can provide education customized to the needs of your group, whether it's a high school driver's education class, a church group, or a community organization.
Workplace partnerships – We can partner with your company to increase awareness and build support for organ and tissue donation. We model these efforts on the DoNation Campaign developed by the U.S. Health Resources & Services Administration. Learn more.
Donor registration drives – We can provide resources to help you conduct a donor registration drive, or we can manage it for you.
Student activism – We empower high school, college, and graduate school students to save lives by organizing a Student Organ Donation Advocates chapter.
We also encourage community partners to reach out to us with opportunities to attend health fairs and other community events.
